I've not been in this bit of the forum for a long time now. I'm utterly amazed at the creative talent on here. So, I thought I'd share what I used to do.
First a couple of lamp bases I painted. These are bone china about 12 inches in height.
A porclain tile 18 inches square
And lastly, my lovely old lad in pastel. He sat and posed for me one day and I thought it would make a nice painting. Unfortunatly, this came back from the picture framers on the day I had to have him put to sleep. Talk about bad timing eh?
Thanks for looking. _________________

Crikey hun, these are stunning. I am not safe let loose with a paintbrush. I paint over light switches and wipe off the bits that shouldn't be there. Couldn't paint a picture to save my life |

Thanks again peeps,
I did think about posting bigger piccies Lorraine, but I was concious that I may take up to much space - sorry. You get the gist of what I did before the beads invaded my brain though.

You say you ' used' to do...don't you do them anymore?
I don't think I could bear not to paint if I had that talent. _________________ LORRAINE

I still do some painting, not on china so much now as it takes so long. Each piece is painted and fired in a kiln at least three times, then the gold is another 1 -2 firings. So they can take weeks before they are done. And at any stage they can break in the kiln. The number of times I've had a plate break on the last firing!
If I do anything now, it's usually in pastel and when I'm on holiday and the beads stuff can't be taken with me.
I told you, beads have invaded my brain.
