Wow, that bead is amazing, so much detail.
Like the cuff too & I think I have seen a similar pattern somewhere & not liked it but in these colours it looks just great!

They are both lovely. Is the lentil hollow or solid?

The bracelet was in B & B - Sunflower/Catherine made a fantastic version which inspired me to have a go - and I was lucky enough to drool over hers - or rather her Mum's! - in real life
Eta - here's the link to the pic of Sunflower's - hers is perfect

It isn't nearly as hard as it looks - I just made three or four leaf canes and three or so petal and flower canes. I made and baked a big lentil from scrap clay, then barely smeared liquid polymer clay on top before covering with a Skinner blend sheet of clay, and smoothing in the joins. Then I cut very thin slices from the canes (they are like sticks of rock with pattern all through!) and arranged them on the lentil. Then it was a matter of smoothing them in gently so as not to distort them - I gently rolled and smoothed with my acrylic rolling pin thingy. When it was as smooth as I thought I was going to get it, I smoothed it a bit more with cornflour on my hands to try to eliminate finger prints, then baked, wet and dry sanded and lightly buffed.
I nearly sanded away the butterflies on the other side _________________ Caroline. |
