Ok, this is really cheating cos these aren't "new", and they can hardly be calles a "creation" but I thought I'd share them anyway.
I bought the shell feathers years ago, before I started making jewellery, at a Rock and Gem show in Llanidloes of all places. I attached post/butterfly fittings to them and I wore them all the time. Then they just vanished, I looked everywhere, or so I thought.
Anyway, I was clearing out a few boxes last week and out they fell. Honestly, I was so thrilled! So I removed the old posts and popped on these gorgeous hooks.
Now I love them even more.
Nia.

Fantastic, what a pretty discovery and my favourite type of earwire, probably the only kind I'd make if other people didn't like the more traditional ones.

They look elegant and beautifully simple.

Ooooh, they're purdy little things, Nia.

How great that you found them again too. Daisy

Lovely, Nia. It's extra special when you find something you thought you'd lost for ever, isn't it?

The earring fittings really compliment the shape of the feathers! Well found.

I say like Beadnut, the shape of the earring finding really compliments the feathers in a way more traditional findings wouldn't. Simple and elegant. Very Happy

They are great! Bet they look great on.

I haven't seen those earposts before, may I ask your supplier?
Shame you had the feathers a while or I would ask the same question of those Very Happy

Thanks all, they really are idiot-proof earrings aren't they!
The hooks came from Twinklehut although I know that lots of clever members here make ones exactly the same, I'm sure melanie (Silvermaid) has posted a tute somewhere on the forum.
The feathers/leaves, whatever they are, came from one of the regular stallholders at Rock and Gem, but I have no idea what he's called, he's still selling though because I saw him at the Builth one a few weeks ago - he's kind of oriental-looking if that rings any bells. But I've never found any more of the shells more's the pity, and I always check for them. He was so nice too, he spent ages finding two from the box that matched almost perfectly.
I'm going to wear them tonight as we are out for a meal.
Nia.
