Naming my work is never my strong point, but I really need help this time! A friend said that the pattern on these cufflinks (silver art clay) looks like bird's feet, and now I've got that in my head I can't think of any other name for them - I'm hoping that one of you might come up with something more appropriate!

Theres a birds foot fern thats really pretty and thats called a Calflora!
Thats quite a nice name....well prettier than birds foot anyway OR theres a wildflower in Yorkshire (my homeland!!) called abirds foot `Trefoil`,thats probly easier to say then the other one too!!

Those are really nice and I like the shape a lot. Interesting pattern too, was it random or did it come from a texture plate you made?

As to name, the suggestions so far seem good and it does look like the fern pattern. I just think they're fab anyway and I like the heavy bar you've attached, it shouts quality.

Thanks Kallyloo! I used a texture plate. I like making cufflinks, and definitely like the fact that the 'for him' section of my website now has something in it!

They remind me (very slightly) of chromosomes. Not a good name to use though!

Been having a think, I'm not that good at names, why are they so hard?
Anyway if you want more alternatives to the great suggestions so far, Clovis (a French King), Dunlin (bird), Straton (Greek means army I think).

Chromas quite a cool name...and you can have a chuckle at how it came about!! (and it sounds butch too )

I like the 'Chromas' suggestion too, it does sound masculine.
