I am trying to get some design ideas together for going back to silver classes in September. I would like to do some bangles in quite heavy wire and want to incorporate lampwork beads. I think I can avoid soldering after the beads are added but may need to anneal again to allow more twisting. I would obviously not aim the torch directly at the bead but the whole object will heat way up - how hot is safe to not have the bead crack/melt? I know nothing about the relative working temperatures of glass and silver. I don't want to set them like staones cos part of the idea is movement.
