Aloha Katerimo!
Isn't he just amazing?!? I bought a back issue of Art Jewelry with a cover feature of his work last week. Come to find out he does Certification courses right here where I live!!! It's definitely on my ToDo Wish List...need to sell off some jewelry before I can make the investment!
Mahalo (thank you) for the links! ~alohabc _________________ Please visit

alohabc - I wish! That would be fantastic. It's on my life wish list :-D Let me know what it's like when you do go! Perhaps you would write about it for me?
That issue of art jewelry was the first one I brought, thats how I found out about him! I don't know how he does it |

He posts and shows new pieces sometimes on the Yahoo metal clay forum. I think he is incredibly talented, and the amount of detail is amazing. |

He's my favourite metal clay artist... His workd is extremely detailed and he puts so much care into it.
And, he is extremely helpful, and generous with sharing his knowledge - as Kallyloo mentioned, he is busy on the metalclay forum.
I'm taking a two day class with him and Louise Duhamel at the Metal Clay World Conference in Las Vegas later this year - I CAN'T WAIT!

Promise I will. Have a feeling there will be plenty of drool-photo-opportunities at the conference!
And, before that I'm going to the Art Clay manufacturers in Japan in April for a five day class to learn some new metal clay techniques... I'm soooo excited! Promise I'll share everything I learn!

I totally forgot I promised to send a photo of what I did in Gordon's class. Well - here it is!
Sorry, the photo is a bit over exposed, I'll try to take a better photo some day soon.
I loved the class, love the piece we made, and loved Gordon - and Louise too of course!

Petra, that's just stunning. I love how it manages to look strong and fragile all at the same time.

Aawwhh! Thank you all! For once I feel I can agree, and say that one of my own pieces is beautiful - just because I didn't design it myself. LOL!
It is lovely to wear, and it was fun to make. We used stencils to cut out out shapes, and built the piece in layers. We also did a bit of carving which really helped to give the piece more dimension and depth.
I love it! _________________ Petra
