Just had a mad idea (as you do... well I do anyway ) involving wire - and since some of the other components involved are brass, I was wondering about brass wire. Is it easily available? Is it nice to work with or is it a pig? Will I need tools above and beyond bog standard pliers and cutters? (You can tell I don't do much wirework )
Does anybody here have any experience with it that they'd care to share (pretty please)?

Funny, I was just using this yesterday. I found it easy to work with, and needed no tools other than the standard stuff I ussually use. It did take longer to saw through thank copper or sterling, but not exactly impossible. AS for availability - I got a little length from HobbyCraft. But wires.co.uk also have.

Also Vintaj do brass wire - its very nice and safe for jewellery. You can get it over here from All That Jazz or I have bought it from Beadaholique before aswell.
