|
|
Lately I never seem to have enough time, and always seem to be running late!
So this challenge is all about the theme of time. We might expect a plethora of fantastic watches for this theme, but I hope you might also be inspired in other directions. Maybe like me you have recently completed a project that you have been working on for a long time. Perhaps you managed to grab a 5 minute break and were amazed how good the earrings you made turned out in that time, or have you taken time to join in a class or group where you have made something special?
Whatever the reason behind your entry all you need to do to enter this challenge is post up a picture of your creation in this thread, and tell exactly how time is important to your entry.
You can enter any bead, beaded or jewellery item. Don't forget that also covers/includes wire work, metal work, polymer clay, lampwork, accessories trinkets, and jewellery etc!
All you need to remember is that you can only enter one piece (or set) per challenge.
The closing date is the last day of November.
good luck

This watch I made for my mum's birthday....she's always asking what's the time and she's always 5 minutes late everywhere, plus I knew that she loves blue and so I thought turquoise beads would be the right beads to put with it, now I can't ever get her to take it off. She says it's so comfortable and easy to put on.
simple yet effective! _________________

I was commissioned to make a beaded flower choker, bracelet and earrings in shades of red, black and grey to go with a grey dress my customer is wearing for Christmas. This is what I made using glass beads, a swarovski crystal (centre of flower) and sterling silver, The flower can be moved along the necklace to place it wherever is most comfortable or to personal taste.
It took me a long time to make, at least it seemed to be a long time to me! I'm not the most patient of people.
I've yet to make some earrings, but I think I'll keep them simple. _________________ Claire-Louise

It actually took a couple of months for this bracelet to basically evolve. Many changes have happened along the way, in fact it started life as a pendant. It has been put down and picked up again countless times, but I'm really happy with the final result.
It'll be hard to let go once it's sold

If I may?
This rose fits with the theme in a number of ways (well, I think so )
She took 90 minutes at the torch to create, and was made because I thought it was time to challenge myself - I'd made two tier roses (two rounds of petals), then three-tier roses (I remember telling the lady who commissioned them I wasn't sure I could do them), then I starting making this one...after the third tier went on, I remember looking at her and thinking 'can I? should I?', and decided it was time to be brave
