The elusive and very tiny (and sparkly) size 15 Czech Charlottes... I posted a couple of weeks ago that I was on the hunt for these for Laura McCabe's classes and promised I'd report back...

I've taken delivery of a boxful (it's a small box) from the USA. There are some nice iris colours and a small range of other colours. And 24K gold, and sterling silver, which seem literally to be worth their weight in their respective metals. In fact they're all quite expensive! However, if you want to successfully complete most of the projects in Laura's book, you gotta have 'em.

So, I've been in touch with the Czech Republic, and the only company who make these tricky little beads. The minimum quantity is 30 kilos in one colour. Hmmm. I'm currently waiting to see if they will reduce this quantity so I can have a range. You could almost say I begged them.

I'll get the ones that we do have in our on-line shop - maybe tomorrow?

I have some of the 24k gold ones and they are well worth adding to your stash! Really sparkly and gorgeous!

Ordered some charlottes and they arrived today - could hardly believe how small the package was but the charlottes are lovely and do add an extra dimension compared with size 15 seed beads - all we need now is to be able to source more colours of larger rivolis and we can all pretend to be Laura McCabe!!

Ah...well you're in luck Sandra! I'm organising some custom coated rivolis in the larger (eg 16 and 18mm sizes). The company that does this doesn't know of any other UK supplier currently selling these....anyone else know?
They're not particularly cheap... but then again, Laura said a lady on one of her classes in the states just sold a Crystal Burst bracelet for $600!! They're worth it, just gorgeous.

I know what you mean about the tiny packets - I felt the same way when they arrived. There are more colours coming soon!
