They are very big...I seem to be rather challenged when it comes to using big beads!! _________________ Caroline.

It's amazing how many new skills & techniques you can cover in a weekend.
Carrie - are you free for the France Carnival in October 2009? Some new teachers in store....

Absolutely brilliant, Carrie.
Wow!!!! didn't you do well.
I love the bottom pendant and it's a shame you think it's not strong enough. I was wondering....if you have a syringe, maybe you could inject some clear liquid clay into the small gaps and rebake it? _________________ LORRAINE

Kylee | It's very tempting, Kylee! I think there are flights to Carcassonne from Stansted, our nearest.....I shall probably keep mulling the idea over - I think I would have more fun if I went without the hubster (don't mean he's not fun of course! - just that I wouldn't hang around with "the girls" in the evening!!) I haven't travelled anywhere alone for...oh....too long to remember
We would all have finished a lot more work if we hadn't been using Kato clay - it was so frustrating to spend so long preparing it.
Even if one liked a very firm clay at home it would be better to use something slightly softer for workshops.
It looks as if there will be another here in the UK at Ilkeston next year, maybe even May, for four days next time, if they could get it off the ground - seems a bit too soon though I would like to go again I think, if it was better organised with more time allowed for each workshop.
I obviously wouldn't go to France and UK and France sounds very appealing.....
...hmmm...."la plume de ma tante"....."un café, s'il-vous-plait"....yes - got all the important stuff _________________ Caroline. |
