What about bag charms? They use up all sorts of odds and ends of beads, and they might appeal to those who don't usually wear jewellery. You can either use keyring fittings or little swivel clips. (If any of the teachers are of the male variety it's probably a non-starter though........!)

I bought some little glass vases from IKEA (39p each...BARGAIN!!) an made a `collar` of pretty polymer clay rose beas (from someone on here! ) an added a few loops of crystal seed beads (easier than proper leaves ) Teach absolutely loves it!
