Im trying to put those wrap round metal ends onto ribbon, I squeezed the clutchy bits together with all my might, pulled the ribbon and it came out.
I cant keep doing that as they are sts and its gona get expensive as its tough to open them up again.

What am I doing wrong?

Just attempted a second one which went much better, tho very fiddly.

Sadly the original claspy thing has gone to jewellery heaven.

Well they were the first ones Ive ever dne so not knowing what Im doing was probably a factor.I worked out the angle of the fold over things which is curved so I tried to flatten it so it wasnt near the base of the second fold, stoppig it front laying as flat as possible.
Basically I took my time and thought about it more.
