Playing about with blown eggs(nice one for children)

A nice project for a wet afternoon with the children. I washed and blew the eggs.Then using some match pots of paint (10p in bargain bin) I gave each egg an undercoat. Then comes the fun bit. Using my craft punches and some sequins I simply punched out shapes and stuck them onto the egg. I gave the entire thing a coat of PVA glue to act as a varnish. Then I dotted sequins around the egg. In the bottom of the tubs of sequins were tiny dots which were the punched out centres of the sequins. These I used to dot around the egg and use as flower centres. They really catch the light

Top tip- use warm eggs...much harder to blow straight out of the fridge for some reason!

Thanks hun. I didn't know that. The only time I have ever broken an egg that I was blowing was in front of a class full of ladies. Good job the class had been running for a while and we had all become friends.

I have painted and dyed blown eggs as a kid, but never tried anything like this.
