I was teaching even-count peyote to a lady who had just bought some of the Myiuki 4mm cubes; she wanted to know if you could use the cubes to do even-count peyote. I didn't know - they'd only just come out at the time - but I thought you probably could. So I experimented, to see if it would work and I quickly had a cuff-length piece. But it looked a bit boring, even after I'd embellished the edges with multi-coloured picots. So I added some tiny glass flowers across the surface. Still not enough - so I added some tendrils between the flowers. It needed more - like some "fringing" with more of the tiny pressed glass flowers. No, not "singing" yet - ah, of course, fringing with crystals. Et voila.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I am sighing and dribbling in a very disgusting manner. I love this style of beading and what a beautiful job you have made of this. |

A couple of years ago we had a very, very wet summer (which you might just remember!) and quite a bit of flooding in the area. Having just bought Diane Fitzgerald’s Beaded Garden book and lost so many plants in the garden because of the rain, I decided to bead my flowers instead of growing them that year.

The base is netting and the flowers are made from various techniques including peyote, brick stitch and herringbone with Russian leaves. It sat unfinished for quite a while until the perfect answer for a fastener came along in the form of the dragonfly button.
Its title simply had to be One Wet Summer - may there not be any need to make another version!

This is my 'Blossom Garland' Embellished spiral rope with baby flower spacers in grey/amethyst/white. I tried to get the centre more heavy so it looks like one of those swags on fireplaces IYSWIM. The back is simply strung hex and size 8.

I would like to enter my White Anenome charm bracelet.
It feature's Elise's lovely anenome flower beads, green opaque rounds, clear AB fire polish rounds and silver leaves and hearts.
This was a commission I did last year for someone going to a wedding - I was asked to make something "nice and spring-like, with flowers" and this was the result. She loved it, and even better the bride has since been in touch to see if I can make something similar for her!
